  30.     BREAK is a serial communications line term meaning an illegal
  31. character of a particular kind, used to signal the other end that attention
  32. is needed. A stylized BREAK is also provided in Telnet. BREAK can be used
  33. with some remote hosts, but not all, and not all communications equipment
  34. senses it. In short, it's normally not needed.
